You Can Give People Living With Mental Illness The Courage To Come Back
In case you missed the Courage to Come Back TV Show this year, you can watch the full show HERE.
Each of our five Courage To Come Back Award recipients show immense courage in the face of adversity, just like the almost 6,000 people living with mental illness in BC that rely on your support through Coast to access the critical supports they need.
But for many people with chronic mental illnesses, the last year has been devastating.
Isolation, change in routine, less access to crucial resources like affordable food, and lack of social interaction, can lead to major set-backs – in some cases, years’ worth of work has been lost.
In these extraordinary times, they need your support more than ever.
By donating today, you can provide critical services including:
- Access to healthy, balanced meals are a basic need and can make all the difference for someone going through a mental health crisis
- Safe supply of drugs, harm reduction services and community support are saving lives in the midst of an opioid crisis that is taking 5 lives every single day
- A unique Cognitive remediation program, which can make a tangible difference to people’s ability to cope with day to day tasks and life after years of addiction and mental illness.
- Direct access to a trusted peer who has recovered from mental illness and has been trained as a peer support worker.
Thanks to Lorne Segal and The Joseph Segal Family Foundation, Terry Hui and Concord Pacific, for offering to match donations up to $200,000.
Yes! I want to give people living with mental illness the courage to come back!
